What to Do If a Client Says “We’ll Think About It” After a Consultation
A familiar scene. The consultation went great, the client asked questions, nodded, clarified the terms, and at the finish said, “Thanks, we’ll think about it.” From here, a manager usually picks one of two bad scenarios. The first: push and try to “close right now.” The second: say “OK, let us know” and dissolve into silence. When the customer says I’ll think about it, the phrase itself explains almost nothing. Behind it there may be a real internal discussion, doubt about the price, distrust, a need for approval, or just a polite refusal.
